About Bill Stephenson I have 30 years' experience in a number of major organisations, approximately two-thirds of that in B2B hi-tech Sales and the rest in HR supporting Sales. I have held management positions at country, region and global levels. I am a certified coach with particular experience of working with senior sales leaders. In my last role I was a Performance Consultant working with the major accounts sales force of Hewlett-Packard. Why the name Salient? The word 'salient' comes from the Latin verb 'salire' to leap. This inspired me to think of my clients making a leap forward as they embrace the change they want for their business, their personal growth and the achievement of their goals. Dictionary definitions of the word ' salient' include the following: 1. prominent or conspicuous 2. projecting or pointing forward 3. leaping or jumping 4. having a quality that thrusts itself into attention All of these resonate for me in terms of the outcomes my clients achieve from my coaching and consulting. |
